چکیده

This paper investigates a simple mathematical model for water level system, which consists of DC motor (water pump), and Speed to Height transformation block, that relates the speed motor, height level. The input signal is applied voltage armature while output rotational shaft. A modified model-free adaptive controller suggested, control water, by adjusting rate incoming flow container, changing pump, fills container. suggested conventional free controller, combined with proportional integral derivative controller. parameters are tuned using two methods. overall controlled system simulated through MATLAB R2015a software. results show efficiency when compared PID MFAC, due its least fluctuation peak, fast response small settling time, zero steady-state error.

Design of a Model Reference Adaptive Controller Using Modified MIT Rule for a Second Order System

Sometimes conventional feedback controllers may not perform well online because of the variation in process dynamics due to nonlinear actuators, changes in environmental conditions and variation in the character of the disturbances. To overcome the above problem, this paper deals with the designing of a controller for a second order system with Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) scheme usi...

Optimization of Model-free Adaptive Controller Using Differential Evolution Method

It is well-known that conventional control theories are widely suited for applications where the processes can be reasonably described in advance. However, when the plant’s dynamics are hard to characterize precisely or are subject to environmental uncertainties, one may encounter difficulties in applying the conventional controller design methodologies. Despite the difficulty in achieving high...

Coastal Water Level Prediction Model Using Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System

This paper employs Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) to predict water level that leads to flood in coastal areas. ANFIS combines the verbal power of fuzzy logic and numerical power of neural network for its action. Meteorological and astronomical data of Santa Monica, a coastal area in California, U. S. A., were obtained. A portion of the data was used to train the ANFIS network, wh...

Controlling Nonlinear Processes, using Laguerre Functions Based Adaptive Model Predictive Control (AMPC) Algorithm

Laguerre function has many advantages such as good approximation capability for different systems, low computational complexity and the facility of on-line parameter identification. Therefore, it is widely adopted for complex industrial process control. In this work, Laguerre function based adaptive model predictive control algorithm (AMPC) was implemented to control continuous stirred tank rea...
